Good place to stop and stretch, beautiful view. There were several vendors, so some folks found entertainment in shopping, while others enjoyed the views and took many photos.

Este é um dos mirantes de St Thomas que tem uma das vistas mais deslumbrantes da ilha. Fomos num city tour. Há estacionamento, vendedores ambulantes e banheiros público.Imperdível!

If you go here during the day, it is quite lively with vendors and people selling souvenirs, T-shirts etc. can be quite crowded but still worth a stop. There is usually somebody there selling cold drinks and beer which is perfect during the daytime. If you want a little more peace and quiet come closer to the sunset and bring your own drinks to toast the sun set and amazing views. On a clear day you can see St. Croix straight south as well as Vieques, Culebra and sometimes the tip of Puerto Rico. The views of town and the south side of St Thomas are breathtaking. Definitely worth coming here for the views and to snap some great pics. Watching the large cruise ships pull out of the harbor from either Havensight or Crown Bay is also a favorite for many. You can also see the sea plane took off from the harbor as well as jets and planes taking off from the airport. If you look closely below you can often see iguanas sitting in the trees.

You can't tell your overlooks without a scorecard in St. Thomas, which has many along and around Skyline Drive. Is this the overlook you can reach via "ski" lift? The one at the top of the 99 Steps? Drake's Seat, overlooking Magens Bay?
No, no and no.
This is the overlook you drive past as you head toward the ones you've heard of. The overlook named after a Virgin Islands author. The one worth a stop because it has spectacular views and, somehow, not a lot of spectators.
Below you is downtown Charlotte Amalie. At the left end of the bay (from your viewpoint) is one cruise ship dock. At the right end, another cruise ship dock. Stretching into the distance, the beautiful blue Caribbean. When we were there, a man was playing a steel drum. Vendors were hawking their wares, but nonaggressively. They seemed more interested in joking with us that they see the beaches every day but haven't gone to them since they were kids!
We were there midmorning, but this looks like a great sunset spot.
