This is the best location for a mid range view of St Paul's and the City of London from the south.
The current exhibition features a sense not often found in art - taste. You enjoy a can of a strange brew, whilst enjoying the views out. To the south is the tree horizon - a remnant of the Great North Wood covering Sydenham to Crystal Palace and Croydon - ironically it was a good source of charcoal once upon a time. The current exhibit featuring sacks of charcoal off-set by black plastic sacks, even though depicting a country far away, seems somehow entirely appropriate.
You can also see the splendid golden glint on a newly restored roof to Peckham Rye station, over sailing the mysterious empty ballroom on the platform level.
Peckham is really full of levels as you explore it.

Nice place with a fantastic view and perfect for social distancing. Good location and easy to find.
It can get particularly windy (being on the rooftop) so make sure you have a jacket or something with you to wrap up, if needed.
However, my friend had an aubergine hummus from the food section and it looked a little peculiar, as soon as he finished eating it he suffered a stomach upset which lasted for some time.

Went with our young teens on the way to a Multi Story Orchestra show (also 5 star).
It's a very hip and well run bar and arts centre. Great concept and brilliant at regenerating Peckham. The loos are clean but the knocked up festival type. This would all equal 4 stars.
The 5 stars is for the WOW factor, when you come out of the stairwell into the beautifully curated space open to the sky with the views abounding all around.
Avoid in rain but
When theres a beautiful sunset,
Run up there. Don't forget your camera.

Tucked away down an alley and up a staircase past a cinema, this is one of London's most unusual arts venues. Check the website for when it is open and, ideally, when the bar area is open, so that you can relax on the rooftop with a drink..
On top of a car park, up a pink staircase which is an art installation, and you burst out onto the top floor with the old yellow parking bay markings still evident and now caught in a swirl by Richard Wentworth's 'Agora', on which sit four lions by Ewa Axelrad, refuguees from Trafalgar Square perhaps(?) with architect Cooke Fawcett's new 'Peckham Observatory' providing views across to the Shard and tall buildings of the City and Canary Wharf.
The art installations change from year to year. I went to see the art, but they also run concerts with the Multi-Story Orchestra and other musical groups.
The venue does have the feeling of it being temporary, which it is (eg the lifts are disabled). It seems a great pity that it does not have a more certain future which would enable it to raise the funding to create a more permanent arts venue, which could be a real plus for this area of Peckham.

I strongly advise this place. You will be able to see a nice view of London, drink and talk with friends.
There are people from everywhere and if it is a sunny day you will not want to go from there
