FIREWORKS DISPLAY WAS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. DISGRACEFUL RIP OFF AND SO UNFAIR TO THE CHILDREN.
Display was all laser and not entertaining WHATSOEVER!!! Even music chosen was disappointing. Can not believe the council think they can get away with robbing people for the extortionate amount charged!!!
To top it all off - the grass was wrecked - a complete mudslide!!!!
Unbelievable!!!

This park has everything you could wish for, lots of open space, beautiful trees, a lake, a delightful walled garden, a bowling green, tennis courts, a cafe (temporarily from a van)....The park is very well kept. There is also an interesting community garden run by volunteers next to the cafe.

A much-used neighbourhood park, Ravenscourt Park is the remnant of the medieval Palingswick Manor dating back to the 12th century, with the lake being part of the moat of 13th century house, fed by the Stamford Brook.
The Park inevitably underwent changes over the years, gaining its current name in the 18th century after it was sold in 1747 to a Thomas Corbett who had a raven in his coat of arms.
The estate was gradually nibbled away for housing development while the early 19th century owner employed Humphry Repton to landscape the park. It was nearly lost completely for housing but was acquired by the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1887 and opened to the public in 1888. Sadly, Ravenscourt Park House was damaged by bombing in the Second World War and then demolished, though a small stable block remains, along with some former estate cottages around the perimeter.
There are several fine trees, a walled garden and, more recently, a memorial to the engineer Giles Hart who was killed in the London bombings of 7th July 2005, in addition to children's play areas, tennis courts and the like, in use even on a rainy, which shows the value of such a park to the local community.
The former stable block is now a café, with a popup outdoor unit for the current situation.

I'm sure this place is lovely in the summer but on a cold sunny day we visited while in the area but was confronted by many muddy pathways and a strong smell of dog mess everywhere you walk.
Had a small walk around but the smell was awful so we left. Otherwise I'm sure this is a pleasant and nice place to visit

I came to Ravenscourt Park on a Sunday afternoon in February and overall the park is very usable for local people but is not a tourist exhibit. There are plenty of facilities such a play area, cafe and bowling green but nothing especially of note.

Beautiful park in west London close to Hammersmith. A large and very green park with lots of activities. There's tennis courts, playgrounds for children and in the summer months, a paddling pool for children. A nice place for a stroll if in the area.
The District line runs right past the southern edge of the park and trains are passing regularly. Not amazing, but an interesting sight.

It's amazing to find such a lovely park, particularly given its urban location. It has tennis courts, basketball courts, a beautiful small lake, places for dog walkers and children, due to its three playgrounds. There's a small cafe, two walled gardens and a garden centre nearby, and even a small nature reserve at the back of one of the playgrounds. In the summer they open up the outside pool for the children to play in and the park is generally well maintained. There are also large fields if you want to have a picnic or just lie down in the sun, and plenty of circuses and other fairs come round every few months or so. Overall it just makes for a perfect park-Ravenscourt has it all!

Come on, Ravenscourt Park has it all - tennis, football on an all-weather five-a-side, basketball, walks, ponds, grass - everything.
It's greenery is superior; ancient trees dominate.
No wonder it's so popular at lunchtimes, with dog walkers, strollers.
There's even a little lagoon/paddling pool with beach at one end, although it's currently (March 2019) just full of leaves and no water.
There's also a playground that has a sense of spaciousness.
One of London's best little parks.

Sandwiched between the Chiswick High Road on the south and Goldhawk Road on the north, this is a lovely little park adjacent to the Ravenscourt Park tube station in West London. I visited on a cold, sunny December Thursday afternoon. My favorite part was the walled garden in the northeast corner of the park. It's a cozy, romantic spot, even in winter. I can imagine it in the spring or summer with flowers and foliage everywhere. A beautiful spot in which to sit and meditate, and ridiculously romantic. Am very glad I made the detour to see it and will certainly visit again when flowers are in bloom.
