After being told we would not have to travel to Kent today, for work, myself and a colleague decided to peruse this Church and its grounds prior to dinner.
Lovely large church with magnificent grounds. Clock on the spire runs about an hour and twenty minutes behind the correct time.
Grass kept immaculately, and there are a lot of interesting tombstones. Set of cottages where the Vicar must reside, very pretty.
Didn’t see any benches, which would be a positive addition.

We attended a funeral at St Andrews Church which is about a 10 minute walk from the high street. The church car park was small we ended up parking some distance away which was disappointing especially as it was raining. The service was conducted by the vicar who was clear and easily understood. The interior is well maintained and it quite a large church. There is a church hall just across the road.

I have a partner who doesn't like grave stones!
I had a father who told me that I could learn the history of a community by walking through the graveyard.
Very sad that most of the grave stones in St Andrew's are no longer legible, but my dad, many years gone from this earth, walked with me.

This church is set in the heart of Cobham and is worth a visit to either find some peace and tranquillity or to discover a little more about the local area. The churchyard is well kept and worth a look round.
The adjacent church hall is open most of the time and well worth popping in for a free coffee and a chat.

We were here for a funeral but we were able to appreciate the building none the less. It is small and companionable. One can feel closer to God than at a massive cathedral possibly. It was an overcast and rainy day but somehow that didn`t matter once we were inside the church itself. This would be fine to just enter and sit quietly.
I didn`t have a chance to go through the graveyard but that would likely prove interesting as well.

We used the facilities for an Away Day and found the building and surroundings excellent. Very well equipped kitchen, beautiful gardens leading down to river and good size room for our needs.

At the entrance to the church is a lovely Lynchgate which is certainly worth a photograph. Located in a rural setting and interior is well maintaned. We undersand it has a very active congregation.

While exploring this small village we found this church, and love it. It's tucked away among a couple of Victorian houses and blends with it surroundings perfectly.

St Andrews church in Cobham is in a nice setting. You enter the grounds by a Lynchgate and then you will see the church stile house. The church itself, which is very active in the community, dates back to the twelfth century. It has a Norman tower.
