We were staying out near the lake and went for lap of the lake. A bit of a magnet for the locals walking, running, fishing and just enjoying the ambience. Refreshing break from the town.

My wife and I stayed at Quest Central Apartments within walking distance from this place, for 2 nights during our recent holiday in Bendigo.
We walked to Lake Weeroona and walked around the 1.5 km circuit of the lake. This beautiful ornamental lake and reserve, set on 18 hectares, was transformed from a dusty mining area in the 1870s.
It is a very scenic place.

Perfect spot to walk and take in the serenity. Around 1.4km walk…did it twice. Bird life is amazing…love the purple swamphens

A great 1650m walk around a lake with free BBQ's . Fairly busy. Though get there before the crowd and establish a picnic site - look out for turtles!

Lake Weeroona, absolutely lovely to walk around and relax. Lots of polite doggie friends to meet as it is a popular dog walking area. Ducks everywhere on the day we went and do not miss the HotDog van - best hotdog I have had - very unique toppings.

Beautiful spot to do a walk around the lake on a sunny day and watch the world go by. Enjoyed the Boardwalk cafe to bask up the atmosphere

This a beautiful lake to take a stroll around. Enjoy the wild life and the lovely trees. Has adventure parks for the children to play on. There is BBQ facilities and bench table and chairs to use.
