My wife and I walked through all parts of this Park twice on two consecutive days before going to a restaurant across the main road, for dinner each evening, during our recent holiday in Bendigo, as we like it. It is a well maintained and centrally located Park.

We particularly liked the Fountain and the water cascades.

Within the vicinity, there are several tourist attractions that we also visited.

Spent a hour or so wandering in the Park. A quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bendigo set amongst well manicured lawns and a variety of trees that look like they have been there for a hundred years. A nice place to relax and have a picnic.

A pretty, well maintained park in the centre of town. Plenty of benches to rest and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Bendigo Creek runs through the centre of the park. There is a water cascade feature and The Poppet Head lookout tower, which was once used during the gold rush to process mine tailings and to hoist flags indicating that mail had arrived. You get great views if you climb to the top. The park also backs onto the Bendigo Art Gallery.

Lovely park which is in the centre of the town. Quite a few monuments, a water cascade and an observation tower.

Rosalind Park is a large sward of green in the centre of Bendigo. It has a number of features, including a statue of Queen Victoria. It's a great place to just wander around, or have a picnic. It's Bendigo's equivilent to New York's Central Park, on a smaller scale.

Prior to 1851, Rosalind Park was a grassy woodland with a chain of deep, permanent fresh water ponds lined with large River Red Gums. In 1851, the gold rush transformed the area and eventually the mullock heaps became the most prominent public park in Bendigo.

I have been wandering through this park on and off for 19 years now... it seems that a visit to Bendigo was not complete without it. Imagine that in 2021 I moved to Bendigo and have only been to the park once. Once it was a highlight of every visit for me... and I have no doubt the locals take the space for granted like I am appearing to do now. :) During the lockdown I went for a walk for my 'exercise' through the park and I hardly saw anyone, and yet, when I drove past Lake Weeroona... people were milling about everywhere. It is what it is... I guess.

But this park truly is stunning... well worth going to visit, or taking a break from a long drive to enjoy the serenity. It has gorgeous trees , sweeping lawns, thoughtful wide pathways for people with mobility issues, it's walking distance from cafes, there are historical buildings near by... This truly is Bendigo at it's best.

Lovely park, in the heart of the city, with something for everyone. There is a great children's playground, great wildlife (bats, black cockatoos, lorikeets, possums, rosellas etc.) that we saw in the park. It was also the venue for 'Awaken'; a great night-time light show. Great paths around the place to check everything out. Definitely worth a couple of hours. What makes it even better is that's it's so close to so many more attractions so you can do this as part of a central city tour!

Really great park. Well laid out and maintained. Just wish the Awaken Festival wasn't ticketed. Stupid to not allow everyone into this free event in their own time/pace but instead had everyone queued up for ages which is a much bigger COVID risk. Defies logic.

Once a government camp in the 1850's and a series of gold mines and diggings soon after this park is now the center of Bendigo and a key feature of the beautiful town.Located on the corner of View Street and Pall mall it is a must see in Bendigo.
