This galeria is more upmarket than the similar Centro Colombiano de Artesanias on carrera 7, perhaps because of the proximity to the Gold Museum. Prices are higher, but maybe items are better quality. Moreover, there are quite a few jewellery stalls here selling gold (?) almost museum-like articles. Huge variety of other stuff suitable to buy as souvenirs.

We have gone here a couple of years in a row now, and all the stalls are always rented, and usually at least 85% of them are open on any visit. Many of the stalls do have much of the same stuff, but if you look closely you will find some different products. (One has coffee flavored arequepe (caramel), some have liquor filled chocolates, and we have found other unique objects.) The prices here are a little higher, and often can't be as easily negotiated as other markets. But it is convenient in location near the Gold Museum, and it is covered so it is good for a rainy day. They also have bathrooms, but you have to purchase something to get a key for it. There is a little cafe in the back of it too.
