Really awesome and slick operation. We did a snorkelling trip and loved it. Right from the start we were fitted with all the gear. They even had prescription masks for me and that is what made it the best experience. I could see!! From being towed beside the boat to see the dolphins to just floating in superbly clear water it was great. Thanks to Adam, Evan and Janna.

Niue Blue is the only dive operator in Niue and they run a very good operation. Owned by Dive Tutukaka in New Zealand, they are professional, friendly, and have modern boats and hire equipment. Highly recommended for diving, snorkelling, dolphin-watching and SWIMMING WITH HUMPBACK WHALES!
We chose not to scuba dive this trip, instead choosing to book on one of their whale swimming excursions - and were rewarded with brilliant close encounters with these magnificent creatures.
July to late September is the time to go for the whales - and in our opinion, Niue beats Tonga for the opportunity to get close, with the whales often just 100 metres or so off-shore.

We loved our trip out snorkeling with Niue Blue, it was our trip highlight. We snorkeled in a few spots around Alofi Bay and saw incredible sea life (including a turtle). The boat was very well equipped and the crew were knowledgeable and professional

The staff were friendly and the whole operation well organised. Our divers enjoyed the 4 days of scuba diving and everyone had a fantastic time watching and snorkeling with the whales.
We will definitely be back for another trip!

Went out one morning with Niue Blue. Very enthusiastic crew, good boat and a sunny day - what more can you ask for?
We saw whales, a pod of 3 that were enjoying themselves. Unfortunately they were on the move so were unable to swim with them. Luckily we came across a pod of spinner dolphins who were having fun, jumping and spinning, and riding the wakes! These we were able to swim with! Fantastic! Didn't know that dolphins pooped so much! Thank goodness for the goggles.
Niue Blue charges are not bad - you are basically charged on a scale of what you saw and did! I considered the price for our morning very reasnable.

Friendly, helpful, wonderful people. We ended up doing 11 dives and a whale swim with these people (now known as Niue Blue).
The trips were well organised, the equipment was well maintained, you could provide as much or as little as you want to and they were super helpful and friendly.
We had a lot of fun, laughter and made some unbelievably great memories during our trip.
Obviously the trips are subject to weather and sea conditions, but do what they can to give you a great experience.
I went with my husband and the group sizes varied from just us two (plus 1-2 staff in the water) to just us and another 2 plus crew.
Visibility in Niue is amazing and there are several sites that give you a variety of habitats and dives. I think 11 is probably too much for most, but you could easily do 6 dives and have a great variety of experiences.
There are night dives, cave dives, coral walls, shoreline gulleys and ones that have a bit of everything.
If you do double dives you may want to take a jacket or jumper for your surface interval, as all the boats are open. Hot drinks and gingernuts are provided.
The whale experience is going to be hit or miss, they are totally wild and they have to ensure they do not interfere with their normal behaviour.
We got very lucky and it was magic. They do give a good discount should you fail to see whales.

We did the whale watch experience and …wow . Just wow .
The crew were fantastic ( thanks Fin, Hunter , Pippa and Penny ) as were the land based team on the day .
We went into the experience thinking that just being in the water in the vicinity would be reward enough but within a short time , the crew had been tipped off by another of their boats , to a sighting so we swiftly changed course and there they were . Six beautiful glorious whales. We watched in awe as they actively pursued a ‘heat run’ and then when they started to rest, we gently went in to observe them . They moved close and the views were breathtaking .
We went in with them in two occasions. What an absolute privilege .
I loved how the crew were as excited as us ( if not more so if that was possible !) Their passion for these creatures and the ocean was palpable - and infectious .
I could have ended my experience there and been happy forever but we went in to swim alongside spinner dolphins while holding in to the boat ( simply awesome ) and then snorkelled to see reef sharks . Just an unbelievable assortment of wonderful .
The crew were diligent in their safety , their respect for the ocean, their care of us.
It was simply one of the best natural experiences of a lifetime .

I did a number of dives with Niue Blue in May 2022. I can not recommend them strongly enough. I think it was the most professional team that I have dived with. Nothing was too much trouble. They have extensive local underwater knowledge. We dived a variety of sites over coral, through swim throughs, in caves, and saw an amazing range of aquatic life, often requiring intensive research to identify. I highly recommend the night dive! All of the dives were gentle and cruisy.
