We went during heavy downfall of rain and it was the best choice as it was dry inside and the rock formations and sea life within the wee pools in the cave were fascinating!

Unfortunatly many places struggled with access due to unrepaired prior storm damge. You could see the potential for some great sights but access was too risky.

Not too hard to get too - lovely and cool down there on a hot day. Amazing rock formations. Can be slippery underfoot (reef shoes would be good), and a torch would be handy too.

This is amazing natural formation of limestone and fossilized corals situated just a few minutes walk from a main road. Short stroll down the road ended with beautiful view of the cave and reef. Take sturdy shoes, reef shoes or sneakers. Stones can be slippery, be careful. Torch is not compulsory. The cave is spectacular. Colourful stalactites and stalagmites are everywhere! Enjoy!

The cave is few minutes from main road at village of Tuapa. it's good for private swimming and beautiful photos. The cave from a certain distance makes a good frame effect on back ground.

The cave formations are incredible, worth the walk down the hill ad around the rocks to get to the pools too. Beautiful snorkelling, warm after and loads of sea life

So much to see and do on Niue we didn't know where to start. We just picked something close to where we were staying and started from there. And what a choice! Climb down through the cave to the reef and ocean. Adventure and snorkelling all in one. Take care through the cave, it can be slippery, but they have a rope 'handrail' to steady yourself. Limestone formations in the cave are pretty special and the coral and tropical fish are right there as you step out into the sunlight.

This cave is awesome, if it was anywhere else in the world it'd be all roped up and you'd have to in with a guide. Here it's just wander to your hearts content, just fantastic. And we saw whales from the cave too, bonus!

Parking is just off the road and its well signposted between Makefu and Tuapa villages. Well worth a walk through, can be slippery but worth being careful and wearing reef shoes. Best pictures are on the way back or at night with someone shining a light - just looks amazing. At low tide you can walk out onto reef and explore reef pools. Relatively easy walk.

Need sturdy shoes and be able-bodied to attempt this cave as uneven surfaces and quite slippery. Worth a visit however and doesn't take long to get inside the cave. Quite nice and open inside the cavern with views out to the sea. We visited when the weather was a little poor, and enjoyed time sheltered inside the cave.
