I went there with a gift certificate for a massage and treated myself to a facial. First it was diappointing because you can never get in touch with anyone to make a change as I wanted to get my massage earlier. I had to leave numerous messages and staff would call me back at dirrect times. You could never get anyone on the phone. Then my son had paid with his credit card for the massage and I was paying for the facial. At the check out desk the girl was so confused and couldn't figure out how to separeate the two. My massage with Ericka was great. My facial person who I can't remember her name was ok. The minute I got in the room she tried to upsell me another facial. I wanted the basic for pricing. It was a turn off. I was out your place many years ago and felt it was so different. I had a 30 minute wait between my massage and facial. So they took me to the louge the louge was so called that they had blankets for people. We complained to the staff and nothing was done.
I was so cold went I left that room I asked the facil lady to raise the heat ont he table I was so cold. Not a good experience. Disappointed this time.

The facility is nice. The staff was nice, but exclusive or luxury, no- at least not in my opinion.
I checked in (confirmed I had a massage and foot reflexology *++) and went downstairs to the locker/waiting area. Nobody was there to greet me so I wondered in and found a spare locker, asked another guest where I might get slippers, and found a cozy spot. I went to the front 2 more times hoping to ask something for a glass of champagne, which was empty both times. By the time someone was present, I had no time to enjoy.
The massage was lovely and the masseuse was good. As I left, I mentioned I was getting a foot treatment next (I assumed it would have been done sequentially) to which she said enjoy and off I went to the sitting area. I waited about 15 minutes before asking someone if they could check on it- to which they said I was only on the books for a massage. So I got dressed and went to check out.
At check out I was charged the massage rate, and the foot reflexology rate, then 20% on that plus tax… so:
- the massage rate was fine.
- When I asked about the foot reflexology I was told that it’s actually just done DURING the massage, it doesn’t add time or is separate. When I explained that nothing was done differently than a regular full body massage she said “oh usually they would be like a towel wrap and special lotion”… which there wasn’t. They took it off. But I don’t know how/why one staff said I wasn’t booked for anything else then it was on the bill?
- the 20% would be wonderful for ease of tipping HOWEVER. only 15% of it goes to the masseuse!! Mind blown - what a crock.
So. Long and short- nice, but not exclusive or luxury. IMHO it is not worth the money.

I had a berry facial with Daniele. She was excellent in her recommendations and very educational. I could tell she treated every spa guest as if they were VIPs. However, that is about where the service ended. The spa attendants were loud and rude, one in particular with blonde hair was exceptionally brash and made me feel like I was unwelcome. Unfortunately I did not catch her name as none of the spa attendants seemed to wear name tags but I personally would avoid the spa due to my interaction with her. I was not the only one who was treated this way as I saw her yell at another guest for asking for a different sized robe. Very unfortunate.

I was able to take a PTO day on Monday, 2/13, to meet a friend who was in Charlotte from the state of WA for a spa day here. She got a pedicure, which was fabulous she said, and I had a facial. This was both of our first times here. The lady that did my facial was great, but I had no idea what would happen after I got home. I had contracted lice from the facility, and I initially was itching, and I called and spoke with both Kelly and Ian(managers) on different days, but we were all thinking and hoping it was more the oil that was used on the towel. After 1 week, I went to my dermatologist, and I had lice, and I have never had such a thing in all of my life. It was awful. The managers would not admit to it, and I had to treat for a while to get rid of it. I will never go back there. I feel sure others probably had the same issue, since these issues spread. I spent $600 for a facial, $200 at the dermatologist and countless $$$ in treatments, not to mention what you have to do at home to get rid of them. This was a huge disappointment. My dermatologist told me that a spa is never going to admit to that.

Lovely spa experience from start to finish. We were welcomed with warm smiles, bathrobes, and complimentary mimosas! The relaxation room was lovely, the sauna and steam rooms were perfect, and our massages were heavenly. We'll be back!

Me and my husband visited the spa today for his birthday present weve ordered a massage. By the time weve got to the spa Ive ordered also pedicure treatment for me. I remember the cashire told me that tmy pedicure treatment will take place at 1:30 pm. I went to the pools and was ready by 1.30 pm for my pedicure treatment. I was waiting for 10 min downstaires with no one coming. Later I went upstairs to the cashier which told me "oh your appoitment was at 12.30 and we went twice looking for you" I remembered specifically that the pedicure was supose to be at 1.30 pm also no one called my cell phone in the time that they were looking for me. Finally at 13.45 I started the pedicure treatment which because of the late hour it started could be only 50 minutes instead of 80 min and charged for the whole 80 minutes.

Svitlana did my mani/pedi and did an amazing job. She took her time with my nails and it shows. She was so friendly and easy to talk to. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.

I am writing this sitting in the spa lobby instead of in my couples massage booked for my anniversary.
There was a mix up with the gender of my provider and when I expressed how uncomfortable I was, I was simply taken back to the locker room. My husband had already started so he is going forward with our anniversary 80 minute couples massage - while I sit here in the lobby, alone.
To add to the disappointment I was just informed I am being charged 50% for NO SERVICE!!!
So, one star for my experience, just advice to either avoid entirely or confirm, reconfirm and re-reconfirm and then hope it all works out or just skip the nonsense and have a great experience at the Ritz or Grand Bohemian uptown - always excellent experiences.

I had the best facial by Danielle! It was relaxing and informative. She was thoughtful about my comfort. I am now on a great facial regimen!

Anniversary gift from my wife was 50 minute message at The Spa. Checked in with the spa staff and they were very nice and informative. COVID precautions were taken by everybody working there. You are then taken downstairs and they give you locker for your personal items. You are given shoes and a rob to wear before the massage. They had comfortable bed to lie down on and played some soft music in the background. My massage was given to me by Bucky and he asked me if I have ever been there before and since I had not been there went over a few things with me. He asked if there was any particular area of the body I wanted him to address and what type of pressure did I want him to use. The massage was excellent and afterwards I was given a bottle of water to drink and told to drink plenty of fluids the rest of the day. I was escorted back to the locker room to get my personal items and change. I felt great and relaxed after the massage which is the most important thing !! Overall, very nice experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

I want a facial that removes whiteheads, blackheads and milia. Do you offer that? If so, what is the cost?

Thank you for your interest in The Spa at Ballantyne. Milia is a little harder to extract from a whitehead or blackhead. Milia is keratin build up under the skin, and normally if it is bad, a dermatologist will need to remove it with a needle or lancing device. Some may come out with an extracting tool, but we do not use them. We are more than capable of removing the black and whiteheads but cannot comfortably say the milia would be removed.
Our Deep Pore Cleansing Treatment may be of interest.
This SkinCeuticals treatment is for congested pores, and is designed to reduce oil while hydrating the skin. The application of exfoliating and hydrating products will decongest the pores, reduce inflammation and remove excess cell debris leaving the skin hydrated and clean.
This 50-minute treatment is $115. Please call us at 704-248-4141 if we may be of assistance.
