My wife and I stopped here for a walk during our drive from Melbourne to Bendigo for a holiday. We have been to Kyneton many years ago but have not visited these Gardens before.

Autumn is a very nice season for our visit, to see the colours of the autumn leaves and to enjoy the pleasant weather.

We loved seeing the variety of old, huge trees as well as the flowers. There was an excellent children's play area too.

This is a lovely old Botanical Garden with a rich history. We were delighted to find the Algerian oak, the first tree to be planted in 1863, and other significant trees too. A great place for a stroll on a fine winter's day.

Went on the walk around the botanical gardens that included some streets and a long section along the Campaspe River. We did it in the middle of winter and it was great experience with great historical markers. Would be sensational in Autumn . Wheelchair friendly as well. Congrats to the local Rotary Club who got behind this project.

This is a beautiful place to stop for a walk and break your drive. These gardens were established in 1858 ... with many trees listed with the National Trust.

It has a stunning entry area with wrought iron gates ... there is also a drinking fountain here that dates back to 1902 .

On the autumn 🍂 day that I walked it’s meandering paths - I found it very relaxing- particularly with leaves falling softly from the trees. It’s a special place for this regional town.

Lovely old mature trees that were cooler weather type trees including many different varieties of oak. Also funky new children's playground equipment. Recommended!

The gardens are popular with locals and visitors to this area. There are ample lawns, pathways and flowerbeds to enjoy with well established trees providing much welcomed shade on hot days. Adjoining the gardens is the river walk which is well worth doing as well. The gardens are a short stroll from the town centre with access for cars as wel.

Beautiful established gardens. The pathway along the river looks good, although as it was very hot we didnt stay long. The childrens play ground is well landscaped and had a fountain for cooling down. Dogs are allowed on lead. I would recommend a visit here.
