I learned a lot about Nashville from the very knowledgeable, fun, and friendly Red AND about some of the excellent food there. I wish I had done this on my first day because I would have loved to be able to return to a couple of the places, and/or visit some of the others that Red suggested as we drove around. The hot chicken (we had hot “chicken” cauliflower tacos which we all raved over—the regular hot chicken place is closed on Mondays, but we were not disappointed with the amazing tacos) was so good, the BBQ was excellent and the sauces they provided were truly wonderful. The sweets—donuts at the beginning, and then cupcakes at the end—were very good, not my favourite foods but still high quality. We ended at the distillery which was interesting too. All in all, I think this is a nice intro to Nashville history, locations, and foods. So much nicer to learn the great eating spots from a local that just caving in and going into the touristy places. Thanks, Red!
