This is a huge park on the edge of the city limits providing some wild space out in the suburbs, a good place for picnics and some long hikes.

This is a huge park within the city limits but definitely on the perimeter. So it is off the beaten path. A good place for a hike or a picnic, but you probably need a car or a cab to get here.

"Beavers" are easier to imagine here in Boston, in contrast to being named for some idyllic place in the Caribbean (which this most certainly is not). But it is a spectacular 53 foot deep "kettle" depression of 68 acres, left over from the last ice age.
This is a huge body of fresh water and used to be a drinking water supply but today it is popular for water sports (sailing, fishing, etc.) but not for swimming. It's a liability issue and, since 2 drowning deaths in 1975, it is strictly enforced.
This is one of the 6 parks designed by James Law Olmstead; it is in the Emerald Necklace chain. It lies between Olmstead Park and Arnold Arboretum and is located above (west) of Jamaica Plain neighborhood.

Nice park and pond close to our kids apartment in Jamaica Plain.
We often go there for walks around the pond, the path is nice, they have events year round, and it has a pleasant/relaxing atmosphere.
You will like it for jogging, taking babies in strollers, young children can run off some of their sugar, and the trees are beautiful in fall.

Hermoso parque con su estanco, muy bien cuidado como todos los espacios verdes de la ciudad. En invierno es especialmente lindo dado que se congela y es posible patinar en el.

Great views walking around this pond, both in nature and the surrounding homes. Lots of spots to stop and sit at, including the infamous bench you can't really sit in (google it)!

for a nice walk along the water. Bad weather in the forecast had us doing our walk at Jamaica Pond instead of going into the city to our usual walk at Castle Island.
Parking can be tough but the walk is worth it. And decades later the floating island still hasn't moved very far!

Jamaica Pond is beautiful in every season. Our first time was in the Winter and we would walk Beezee the beagle around the pond at least once a day.
We were staying right across the street, so we could look out at the pond and the people traffic (and auto traffic) any time of day.

広くて、広大な池です。ボストンの中心部からは、南西の方角に少し距離があります。いろいろな動物が見られたり、美しい自然が楽しめます。天気が良ければ、素晴らしいと思います。
