Not only me but my friends were very disappointed with Daytona Sandown Park Go Karting. And there are many reasons for that.
Firstly, the race was late by nearly an hour. Secondly, I'm unclear why there is a pro race and beginners race if the organisers still allow pro racers to join the beginner's group?
The group of the race is way too big and therefore you will get a lot of yellow lights because there are a lot of crazy drivers who constantly were bumping into others just so they can get a better time. One of our friends got such a powerful bump from someone, that he actually got a light concussion making him feel sick on the way home. Not only that but we also had one friend who got scared of the group's size and saw some of the pro drivers that she refused to go on track. And that was in addition to her migraine that started on the same day.
I agree with all the reviews given before on this place that stuff is not very helpful. Despite having their T&Cs, surely there are exceptions that can be applied when a person is truly not fit to race?!?! If someone will collapse on the race court, is that still not good enough to refund? Clearly, this place is not concerned about how high is the ticket price and the health of the drivers. Despite the introduction stating that anyone who is bumping will be disqualified - I myself had at least 4-5 bumps by those who didn't care about the rules and yet I did not see anyone being removed. And that was roughly 4-5 bumps per each of us (after speaking to my other two friends, they were bumped several times too).
Nevertheless, it is shocking that there is no sympathy for the customer at all, despite them having a delayed race. Interesting that this crew does not see that as our loss of money because we did not get to the dinner venue on time and lost an extra hour of our day.
No service can be good if there is appalling customer service and this place certainly has one of the worst customer services.
The best recommendation I can give to anyone - I strongly suggest choosing another place as I've been to many go-karting places and certainly this one is the worst. You will enjoy your time a lot better elsewhere. I can ensure you.

Visited with the family . An amazing day ,with a friendly team on hand to make you feel welcomed and comfortable in this beautiful setting . Totally worth the money , for the thrills and excitement .

We celebrate my son 9th birthday at the Daytona and it was a fantastic experience. The kids loved it. The staff is very professional, friendly and well organized.
All our guests had a fabulous time and my son had the best birthday party ever.
Highly recommended. We look forward to going back.

A great experience the staff are brilliant and very helpful and even helped with issues caused by ourselves but they were very accommodating I would highly recommend people to go and have fun here

My son has started to Kart at 6. He had a lesson today with Stan and I have to say it was amazing to see his confidence grow. Stan was excellant and coached him brilliantly. Thanks to the whole team and from Alexander - thanks Stan you are awesome!

We organised our first get together post-Covid with Daytona for the 'doing' part (before dinner and drinks elsewhere). While most of our group had driven go karts before we had a few first timers.
The organisation on the day was first rate: a practice session, then 3 heats (everyone drove in 2) to assign grid position for a slightly longer final. There was lots of great racing, stories to share and the marshalls / compare really made sure everyone was having a good time.
It's a more challenging course than it looks, which some subtle level changes and late apexes which will test the best drivers.

As others have said, Daytona Sandown is a brilliant place for a birthday party. I took a group of 7 12-year-old girls and they had a blast. We were all a little nervous to begin with (the safety video is very good, but a bit scary) but the whole set up was terrific and after a couple of slow laps, the competitive spirit kicked in and the girls had a great time. Matt was fantastic with them: patient and funny and explained things well, as were the marshals, who worked hard on the track making sure everyone was safe. We had food afterwards on the decking, which was ideal for a party. And the photos on the winners podium is a really nice touch. It isn't cheap, but it is really memorable. Would absolutely recommend for a special party. I'm sure we'll be back.

We were a group of 18 and everybody was brilliant from start to finish, from the moment we arrived there was a team member meeting us in the car park, getting us to check in, reception team were so friendly and efficient. We honestly had the best time even though the weather wasn’t on our side, the team at Daytona made it the best day! Thanks guys, we will be back again soon!!

Absolutely brilliant! This was a special birthday treat for a group of children aged 11-13, mostly girls ,and they all loved it. Matt was fantastic with them: patient and funny and explained things well. The marshals worked hard on the track making sure everyone was safe. And there were even slushies to buy after racing on a hot day, so everyone finished happy. Recommend absolutely and hope to book to have a go myself.

The circuit operates in all weather apart from thick snow. Daytona provides waterproof suits in the event of rain.

We are afraid not. The circuit is only available for racing and testing in Daytona's karts.

Hi. We have specially dedicated sessions, karts and safety equipment for Junior Drivers. A ten year old would drive one of our Cadet karts on the Indy Circuit at Daytona Sandown Park. We offer Junior Arrive&Drive sessions for beginners, exclusive birthday parties plus Race School and our InKart Championship if the child is keen to become the next Lewis Hamilton.
