Very nice waterfalls . You can swim and go under the falls.
Take a guide from the village and avoid rainy season .The hike is difficult and dangerous also. There is no permanent way to the waterfall and it changes ao a local person is necessary. Take water and eatables with you. Wear full sleeves and cover your body as there are bushes . Lifetime experience.

I had an awesome experience with my tour guide Mr Shilingi,
-It's about 60km from Morogoro Town.
-Road Condition is tarmac with a lil bit of rough smooth road.
-There were no actual path to go down to the waterfalls so we have to find our own.
-It was so adventurous

A lovely hike through the local village takes you to this beautiful waterfall. Not too touristic like the one in Moshi so ideal if you want a quiet spot.

Es war wirklich sehr schön. Vor allem die Aussicht von oben. Man kommt an verschiedenen Plantagen vorbei und kann unterwegs noch von den Famern direkt kaufen. Wir haben 3 Stunden nach oben gebraucht

Our guide knew every plant and tree and the culture of the area. It was like a garden of Eden with huge diversity of fruits, vegetables, spices and wonderful people along the way.

Pittige trip, maar goed te doen. Zorg wel dat je goede schoenen aan hebt. Prachtige watervallen met dito uitzicht.

We took the 4×4 on a one-and-a-half-hours drive from Morogoro around the mountains to Kinole. On the north side we saw dry steppe with Baobab trees, red topsoil and maize fields. As soon as we had climbed a small pass the vegetation became more lush and green. We followed a stream that was being mined for gold by locals and followed the dirt road through settlements which were into agro-forestry, pepper, banana and pineapple business.
We bought ourselves lunch from a local market near Kinole: deep-fried dough rolls (mandizi), coconuts, fresh bread and water. Then we proceeded along the road down to the river and up the other side until we reached a large parking area. There we organized a boy to guide us to the waterfall, as some of us spoke excellent Swaheli. Then we set off through a small settlement where young guys were working hard to make bricks from soaked soil. A woman was crushing what looked like rice in a big mortar and food was being cooked on open fires outside. Very peaceful.
All the way there were small pineapple fields, recently planted cassava, we smelled cinnamon trees and pepper plants, crushed Croton seeds with our fingers until oil came out (bio-fuel). Some endemic species are at home here and it’s a great area for bird watching.
The highlight was the waterfall that didn’t seem to have a normal mode of access. Instead we climbed down through the vegetation and ended up at the bottom of it near a nice pond. It took us about 1 hour to reach it so the trek is also suitable for a kid. Chilly water and the warm sun complemented each other perfectly and my only regret is that we had to leave so soon because I needed to catch a bus back to Dar es Salaam.
Alltogether this is a day trip from Morogoro and local guides would know this place. It currently has only 4-5 visits in a month, so here is this tip off the beaten track!

Hi get a minbus from Moro main minibuses stations. If you can not get it, then take any bus to Matombo, Mkuyuni or Kisaki...inform the Conductor to drop you at Nyiapanda Kinole. Then take a motor 16km to Kinole. ...Dont worry ha because you will enjoy cheap health food, one bucket for 1000tz sh. you can visit not only waterfalls but also Kingaru (the chief of Waluguru residence). You greet the old with Haulamuke, Kobenza?

Hello 2Swiss
That sounds like the perfect day, can I ask, did you arrange to meet the boy/guide before you arrived or just find him there, maybe he is always there for tourists?
Also the 4 x 4 you travelled in, did you rent that, or was it just a taxi hire?
thanks for your help
