Only one lock is operational,lift four.I just took the boat trip and it goes through the modern lock that separates the old and new canals.then traverses the historic lift four,before sailing along the canal to locks two and three.where the cruise ends with a visit to the pumphouse.the journey back is by Bimblebahn .sorry cant say about cantine as we did not go there.

Hmmm, but actually, the tour's website says,

"From the Funicular lift of Strépy-Thieu, enjoy a guided cruise on the historic Canal du Centre classified World Heritage with its 4 hydraulic lifts from the 19th Century."

It makes it sound like the tour goes to all four lifts.

So if this tour doesn't take me to the life #1, then I would be inclined to take the other 2.5 hour tour as well.
