Myself and friends had booked to stay here in july. However, due to covid-19 and lockdown we were unable to go. Myself and my friend tried contacting the apartments directly to get a refund however they stated they were open as usual. I asked them how this was possible as during covid they should be shut. They were very rude and then hung up the phone as they did multiple times. In the end we rang booking.com. They said they had spoken to the company and we could get a voucher for next year. Again when trying to sort this they would not reply to any emails. Do not book these apartments. They will take your money and offer no service.
We booked to stay in this accommodation in early July and could not stay due to the 3 other parties sharing from different households. The owner offered 50 per cent voucher which is not good enough. We also were asked to pay £1000 deposit which frankly is unaffordable and ridiculous. We asked to meet us at the property on arrival to complete an inventory however they wanted £60 for this. This all sounds very improper. In the end we could not stay and lost £270.
Myself and 3 of my girl friends were just trying to find a place at semi-short notice to chill for a weekend. We abruptly booked this apartment through booking.com and noticed after that there is an age restriction of over 25 to check in. We didn’t see this as a problem as one of my friends are 26 and just thought she would have to be the lead person to check in the details. The day before, I received an email stating that we all would have to be over 25 years to stay, which I found so strange as I had never heard this before. I made contact with both the apartment and booking.com to clarify if I it was busy check-in or residing in which booking.com had said it was just the check in process. I called the apartment again to clarify this and the “manager” jack told me that he’s tired of repeating himself and that we would need to cancel. I then cancelled in hopes to get a refund only to learn I would have to pay a cancellation fee on top of the £210 I had already paid to stay. At this point I was upset and had several disputes with booing.com as it was not clear on the website and was deceptive. Booking ended up telling me that the apartment is not willing to give me a refund or wave the cancellation fee and the apartment was no longer answering their calls to resolve this so the best thing I could do was to call the apartment myself. I’m calling again the next day to understand what was going on, I spoke with Jack who hung up on me after hearing my name. I called again and told him I just want answers. He then goes on to say “if you was smart, you wouldn’t listen to what a company [booking.com] has to say, you would go on the internet and read the policies...” at this point I was fuming and I said “I’m very smart thank you very much you don’t need to say all of that; that’s inappropriate” and then he went on to say I dint care if your IQ is above 140 I don’t care about this and that, you’re not listening to me and I’m trying to help you etc but he was doing nothing but being offensive and refusing to answer the questions I had for him. I then told him he is very patronising at which point he became very angry and refused to speak to me because “I’m rude for calling him patronising”. There is SO much more to this situation that these people have put me through and I’m still awaiting a response in regards to waving the cancellation fee and getting a refund which the latter is very unlikely. But I’d be dammed if these people take cancellation fee from my account! I’ve never been so offended and put down in my life by anyone. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. WHY IS JACK A MANAGER AND UNABLE TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND SORT OUT THE MATTER APPROPRIATELY. This situation is still unresolved.…
LITERALLY FRAUDS AND EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. This one particular staff member, hanged up the phone on me 3 times while I was trying to sort out my booking problems and prior to that was extremely rude on the phone, also refused to pass me on to a manager. Please do not book with this place, it is a WASTE of your money
Worst experience from beginning to end!! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND DO NOT USE!!!! You must provide very sensitive details to an external website of ALL GUESTS, even those who are visiting. Extremely poor customer service, you will be lucky to speak to an actual person. YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A REFUND! AVOID AVOID AVOID
