Highly recommended! We arrived at 4pm and took 3hrs Jeep ride + dinner + overnight in Bedouin camp for 40Jd. Even though we arrived late, we still had lots of fun and saw stunning sunset in the desrt!
I first found out about Atallah and his camp on the internet the second time I visited Jordan. We went from Aqapa to Wadi Rum and Attalah picked us up and we had dinner first at his village and then he took us to the camp. Atallah is very friendly and he is an excellent host. The first time i was there in June 2006 and as the weather permitted we stayed outside the tent and we were able to see the magnificent view of the sky in the dessert at night. I liked the whole trip so much that i went back there a few years later with another friend in October. Again, the trip was fantastic and Atallah makes sure you enjoy your self. we drove in the dessert and Wadi rum is a fantastic place to visit. I highly recommend this camp and i am sure i am returning back there with my daughter in a few years when she is older. Looking forward to meeting Atallah and Wadi Rum.…
We visited Atallah's camp for 5 nights this past Christmas as a family of four with two daughters aged 8 & 10 and had a fantastic and superbly memorable time. Atallah and his son Tariq did everything they could to make our trip a fabulous experience incl a christmas camp our kids will forever remember, walks in the desert, exploring rock arches, camel ride on Christmas Day etc etc. Atallah's local knowledge of the Bedouin and natural landscape flora and fauna a great asset and so enthuisastic to share his knowledge. Fabulous evening fires with kids making pop corn, waching shooting starsor just enjoying the moonlight and silence of the desert. Be prepared to rough it as the camp is basic, but Atallah has installed sinks and a wash house, don't expect any luxury but that's what camping is about..... generator runs for an hur or so in evening but candlight/moonlight is preferable anyhow! In wintertime it is worth taking sleeping bags.…
We stayed 3 nights in the Atallah's camp family with my kid and 2 friends, it was one of the best experience we had in Jordan, we ride camel and jeep tour and some walk… enjoying the night skies and spectacular sunrises and sunsets People who work in this camp are very nice and friendly. The food is wonderful, the Zaarp, which is made under the ground is delicious. There were no problems with sleeping under the stars if you preferred not to be in the tents. we had a great stay at the camp! All basic needs were there and Atallah and his crew did their best to give us a great time in the desert! Stayed October 2012, traveled with family
