My husband and I stayed here for ten days and it was the most relaxing holiday we have had.
The apartment: these are decorated nicely and well kept, the room's are spacious and cool. The features and feel is very basic but I would say it is definitely higher than 2 star and you have the choice of staying upstairs or down. The only problems we found was the apartment we stayed in the safe was unavailable to use as the keys had been lost but the apartments are very secure also being a true brit we had to be creative when we wanted a good old cuppa tea as there was no kettle. Lastely we felt the mattresses could be of better quality as half way through the holiday being a sufferer of back pain the foamy mattress gave no support.lastly we was informed on booking that there was free wifi which wasnt the case, yes wifi was available on the island but you had to pay to use it which was unfortunate as we did intend on meeting up with friends at a later date and wanted to keep in touch via the internet I just felt it was a little misleading in the description.
The grounds; the garden is beautiful and well looked after we enjoyed watching the humming bird moths feeding off the plants surrounding the apartment and feeding the cheeky sparrows in the morning or trying to spot the Lizard camouflaged on the porch walls. The swimming pool was clean and there was a children's section too with inflatables to use. There was also a barbecue for guests and sun loungers.
The owner and staff; Miguel was there to welcome us on arrival he was very friendly and helpful giving tips on the cheapest places to shop and where to find the best less touristy areas on the island and made it clear he was only a phone call away if we needed anything. The cleaners were also polite and friendly and very patient when being asked something from someone who's Spanish isn't very good lol.
The area; the apartments are less than two mins away from son xoriguer beach which can get busy but as Miguel pointed out there are some nice mini beaches hidden among the rocks which we preferred. The apartment was also a 10 min walk away from the marina where you will find an array of different restaurants and a games area for children and crazy golf for big kids like us. This is also where cala'n bosch beach is and the more built up touristy hotel area which we tend to avoid as we like to get away from it all plus the short walk comes in handy after a big meal lol there is also a bus stop 1 min away from the apartment going to cuitadella where you can access the rest of the island.
Cost; the apartments are very reasonable and a real bargain especially now with things costing so much more. We holidayed in middle September and the area seemed to be winding down which was an ideal time for us but with families I would suggest that you go a bit earlier as we didn't see many children and the ones we did see looked a little bored without others in the area to keep them entertained.
