This was my first time to this location, but not the Marriott Fairfield brand. There have been updates made from the original Fairfield décor, in general for the better. Parking is available in front, and in the rear. What I Liked: - The room is a minimalist design, so it is spacious because there is no sitting chair or sofa - The shower is large - The TV was larger than what you would expect - They have a built in USB plug on the nightstand - The breakfast buffet area is very large What I Did Not Like: - I am a lifetime Titanium Marriott member and was not offered an upgrade - The shower is so large, you need to stand inside to turn it on resulting in getting blasted by cold water. The entrance door is on the left and the shower control on the right - There is no exhaust fan - The desk is long and not very wide. There is no desk lamp, so it is very hard to work there. - The desk chair was very uncomfortable - The loud airplane noise at midnight thru 8:00am is a problem if you are a light sleeper - The breakfast buffet looks better than it is - The metal bead pull for the window shades was a problem based on them getting stuck at the bottom anchor to the windowsill. A bad design that needs to be fixed.…
NO WORKING ICE in ENTIRE hotel.... and machines were missing on the floors where they should have been in hotel !!!! Had to walk down to front desk to get ice , then Desk Clerk went to kitchen to get a half rationed bucket of ice. Needed to have my medications on ice, so inconvenient. I had to go across the street to purchase 7 lb bags, UNBELIEVABLE!!! Never had this in the all years I have been traveling. When I checked in desk clerk would not take my Marriott rewards number, she said only can be done if I call corporate. I filled out the customer satisfaction survey emailed to me from Marriott. I just got "Generic Formed Response" from Ryan Schrade, General Manager. Who NEVER addressed the issue, just a standardized generic letter response. Poor Management !!! As they say, "The fish stinks from the head down!"…
Stayed for an overnight in August for a race in AC and perfectly pleased. Room looked recently renovated - definitely at the level of other Fairfield Inns I have stayed at recently (and at the level of some that I have stayed in within one month of opening). Everything I expect from Fairfield Inn and Marriott and no complaints at all. (The water with lime was a nice touch). Staff was perfectly hospitable and friendly. Did not have the breakfast (due to race) but looked good and well set up at 3 in the morning.
Nice hotel very pleasant front desk staff. Spotlessly clean well appointed room. Somewhat exprnsive but its that season. Good breakfast. Quite a way out of town but suitable for my purpose. Would recommend it . Good tv stup. Dennys outside if you are hungry.
