Reviews of Royalton Hicacos Varadero Resort & Spa
We wish to express our full satisfaction with our recent stay at the Royalton Hicacos. Our experience was most enjoyable, largely due to the exceptional service we received from the staff, especially our butler, Omar. We would like to thank him very much for his dedication to making our stay memorable. Omar has really made every effort to offer us an excellent service, even exceeding our expectations.
We were delighted to see that Omar had arranged for us a pleasant surprise: a bottle of white wine in our room. This is an attention normally reserved for Diamond Club guests, and we greatly appreciated this gesture which added a special touch to our experience.
During our stay, we also benefited from the attentive service of another butler, Anna. His kindness and professionalism helped make our stay even more enjoyable.
We would like to highlight the exceptional quality of the service in the various restaurants of the establishment, especially at the buffet where we had our breakfasts. Even though we have not noted down the names of the waiters, I will attach photos so that we can get an overview of the staff at our service.
As far as the cuisine is concerned, most of the dishes served have lived up to our expectations. However, there may be some improvements that could be made to some dishes to make them perfectly tasty and well cooked. Despite these few remarks, the whole kitchen was satisfactory.
As far as the accommodation is concerned, although the room may seem a little old-fashioned, it was comfortable and met our needs. The chairs could eventually be replaced to improve overall comfort, but this has not affected our overall satisfaction.
Varadero beach is, as always, exceptionally beautiful and immaculately clean. It was a pleasure to be able to enjoy it fully during our stay.
However, our departure was somewhat disrupted by a computer failure at the Varadero airport control tower, resulting in an unpleasant delay. That said, we have a piece of advice to share with you dear future travelers: the purchase of a package "Salon V.I.P. at the airport" on the complex. In addition to the benefits in terms of unlimited food and drinks, this package has allowed us to avoid the huge queues caused by the computer failure. A valuable tip to keep in mind for a hassle-free trip.
In conclusion, with the exception of the incident at Varadero airport, our stay at the Royalton Hicacos was an extremely positive experience. Overall, we rate this magnificent trip 9/10, and we warmly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.
